The successful performance of any dewatering system requires that it be properly installed. Principal installation features of various types of dewatering or groundwater control systems are presented in this course.Topics:
- Deep-well systems
- Self-Jetting Wellpoint systems
- Vacuum Wellpoint Systems
- Jet-Eductor Wellpoint Systems
- Vertical Sand Drains
- Cutoffs
- Cement and Chemical Grout Curtains
- Mixing Tanks and Pump Equipment
- Slurry Walls (cutoff trenches)
- Steel Sheet Piling
- Soil Freezing using Chilled Brine Solutions
- Installation of Piezometers using the: Casing, Rotary, and Hollow-stem auger methods
