    Ethics for Executive Branch Employees

    PDH Course Description:

    This course provides an overview of the types of ethical issues that frequently arise for employees of the executive branch of the Federal Government as they pursue their official duties. The fourteen principles of ethical conduct for Federal Employees are listed and many are illustrated with real-life examples. The course would be of interest both to engineers employed in the executive branch of the Government and to engineers employed by Government contractors who need to know what are the rules that must be followed by their Government counterparts.

    • Gifts between employees
    • Conflicting financial interests
    • Impartiality in performing public duties
    • Seeking other employment
    • Restrictions on former employees
    • Misuse of position
