    This continuing education course presents a comprehensive guide to site development, encompassing the essential principles and practices employed in transforming undeveloped land into functional, safe, and compliant sites for residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal use. It explores the full scope of site development, from initial planning and environmental due diligence through grading, drainage, utility integration, transportation access, permitting, and final stabilization. 

    This course emphasizes the interdisciplinary coordination required among civil engineers, planners, surveyors, architects, geotechnical professionals, and regulators to deliver sustainable and compliant land developments.

    Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

    • Explain the purpose and scope of site development in the context of modern land use
    • Identify the phases of site development from conceptual planning to project closeout
    • Apply principles of zoning, land use regulations, and environmental compliance
    • Analyze grading, drainage, and stormwater control strategies in site planning
