    PDH Course Description:

    This ethics course provides a general overview of Florida Statutes and Administrative Code governing the practice of engineering in the state of Florida. A summary of the FBPE's complaints process, continuing educational requirements, and an overview of the most common and recent disciplinary action rulings against PEs and non-engineers.

    • FBPE’s Complaints Dept.
    • Who can file a complaint?
    • Anonymous and malicious “Bad Faith” complaints
    • Access to public records concerning disciplinary actions
    • Licensees convicted of a crime in any jurisdiction
    • CE Requirements in the State of Florida
    • The most common reason for disciplinary actions by FBPE
    • Typical rulings and fines imposed upon licensee
    • Suspended license to practice
    • Voluntary relinquishment of license to practice
    • Licensee failed to respond to the administrative complaint
    • Negligence in the practice of engineering (material deficiencies)
    • Being disciplined due to criminal activity
    • Engineering with a delinquent or suspended license
