  • Design Build - Feasibility of Rotating Space Habitats

    PDH Course Description:

    This course explores the visionary concept of the O’Neill Cylinder, a theoretical space habitat design intended for long-term human habitation in space. Developed by physicist Gerard K. O’Neill in the 1970s, the cylinder proposes a rotating space station that simulates Earth-like gravity through centrifugal force. The course delves deeply into the structural, mechanical, and human factors engineering principles required to conceptualize and potentially construct such a habitat.
