Wyoming Professional Engineer Renewal
Wyoming Professional Engineers must complete 30 continuing professional competency credits during each license renewal period.
Wyoming licenses generally renew biennially according to the licensee’s expiration year. The renewal application must include verification of 30 qualifying CPCs unless the licensee qualifies for the initial-renewal exemption or another Board-approved exemption.

An Online-PDH course that supports professional engineering competency, provides organized instructional content, includes a final assessment, verifies successful completion, and issues a detailed certificate is consistent with Wyoming’s recognized continuing education and correspondence-course formats. Final acceptance remains with the Board.
Records and Audit
Each licensee is responsible for maintaining the records used to support continuing education claimed on a renewal application. These records must be retained for three years.
Every renewal application is subject to audit verification. If selected, the licensee must submit the requested CPC documentation for review by the Board’s Audit Committee.
Special Circumstances
A new licensee renews by December 31 of the year following initial licensure and is exempt from the CPC requirement for that initial renewal.
Although exempt from the initial-renewal CPC requirement, a new licensee may complete and carry over up to 15 CPCs into the following renewal period.
Exemptions for licensees performing qualifying uniformed service are governed by the applicable Wyoming statutes concerning military service.
A licensee experiencing physical disability, illness, or another extenuating circumstance may petition the Board for an exemption from the CPC requirement.
