  • Geophysical Surveys - Gravity Techniques

    PDH Course Description:

    This course is based on gravity-based geophysical surveys, which are based on the principle that variations in subsurface density (mass) result in measurable changes in the local gravitational field. Denser materials, such as rocks or mineral deposits, exert a stronger gravitational pull, while less dense materials, like air or water, exert a weaker pull.

    Gravity surveys typically use highly sensitive instruments known as gravimeters to measure the strength of the gravitational field at various points on the Earth's surface. These instruments are designed to detect minute changes in gravity.
