    PDH Course Description:

    This course describes the processes for selecting a valid water sources, water testing and treatment methods and procedures, as well as different types of water treatment equipment, their processes, and filtration. Also discussed is how to detect and treat water that has been contaminated with chemical, biological, or radiological agents.

    • Source quality and reliability
    • Development of water sources
    • Types of water contamination and treatment
    • pH balancing, softening, coagulation. ion exchange
    • DO, aeration, and elimination of dissolved gases
    • Treatment of biological, chemical, and radiological agents
    • Types of water treatment equipment
    • Reverse osmosis, filtration, disinfection
    • Emergency treatment procedures
