U.S. Virgin Islands Professional Engineer Renewal
The Virgin Islands Board's currently published renewal instructions do not list a continuing-education or PDH requirement for professional engineers. Permanent licenses are renewed annually for the September 1 through August 31 licensing period.
The Board's current profession page identifies the renewal application, electronic tax approval, and required fee as renewal items. It does not identify a minimum number of PDHs, an ethics-hour requirement, course-provider approval, or a continuing-education audit submission for engineers.

Using Online-PDH Courses
A Virgin Islands licensee who also holds a license elsewhere may use a qualifying Online-PDH course toward the other jurisdiction's requirements. Acceptance, subject limits, provider rules, and recordkeeping are controlled by that jurisdiction.
Engineers may take technical, ethics, safety, or practice-management education to maintain competence even when it is not required for Virgin Islands renewal. Voluntary completion does not create a territorial PDH obligation.
Annual Renewal
The Board's current instructions direct licensees to renew through the Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs website, verify the required application information, obtain electronic tax approval from the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue, and pay the applicable fee.
Virgin Islands Code Title 27, Chapter 8 provides the underlying licensing framework. Section 287 addresses expiration and renewal, while Section 286 prohibits use of a professional seal after a license expires.
Records and Compliance
The current Virgin Islands renewal instructions do not publish a PE continuing-education retention period. Nevertheless, a multistate licensee should retain certificates, receipts, course descriptions, completion dates, instructional hours, and assessment records for the period required by every jurisdiction in which the credit is claimed.
