ADA Guidelines for Design of Lodging Facilities

    Credits: 3 PDH

    PDH Course Description:

Hotels, motels, inns and other places of lodging must comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To meet this requirement, lodging facilities must comply with accessibility regulations published by the Justice Department as “ADA Standards for Accessible Design, 28 C.F.R. pt. 36, Appendix A”. This course uses a survey format to present the most common regulations. Each question in the survey describes a requirement contained in the regulations. Engineers who are involved in the design and construction of lodging facilities and who master the material in this course will be able to contribute significantly to ensuring that the facilities are ADA-compliant.
