PDH Course Description:
This course presents guidelines for accessibility to places of public accommodation and commercial facilities by individuals. These guidelines are to be applied during the design, construction, and alteration of such buildings and facilities to the extent required by the ADA. Technical terms used in the ADA are defined, and accessibility requirements for a wide range of structures are described.Topics:
- General terminology for accessible design
- Accessible elements and spaces
- Restaurant accessibility
- Medical facility accessibility
- Business, mercantile, lodging accessibility
- Design for accessible transport facilities
